Privacy Policy

Read how Bodix handles health-related data, local storage, iCloud sync, Apple Health import, and the public website.

Bodix is a pre-release body-tracking app for logging body weight, tracking body measurements, and reviewing progress over time on Apple devices.

This Privacy Policy describes the current Bodix implementation, including on-device storage, optional iCloud sync, optional Apple Health import for weight data, and the public marketing site at bodix.app.

Who Provides Bodix

Bodix is provided by Vitalii Bahmet ("we", "us", or "our").

What Information Bodix Handles

Depending on how you use the app, Bodix may handle:

  • weight entries that you create manually or import from Apple Health;
  • body measurements that you choose to track, such as waist, hips, chest, arms, thighs, or other custom measurements;
  • profile details and app preferences such as units, sorting, formatting, and display settings;
  • technical state required for local persistence, optional iCloud sync, and optional Apple Health import;
  • messages you send to us directly by email.

How Bodix Uses Information

Bodix uses the information you store to power the features you choose to use. That includes:

  • saving and displaying your weight and body-measurement history;
  • calculating trends and presenting progress over time;
  • converting values between supported measurement units;
  • importing weight history from Apple Health when you request it;
  • synchronizing data through your own Apple account when iCloud sync is available and enabled.

Apple Health and Apple Services

If you enable Apple Health integration, Bodix may read body-weight data from Apple Health and may write newly created weight entries back to Apple Health when that sync path is available in the app.

If you use iCloud sync, your data may be stored and synchronized through Apple's CloudKit and related iCloud services under your Apple account.

Apple may process data according to Apple's own terms, privacy disclosures, device settings, and service availability.

Public Website Analytics

The public Bodix website may use privacy-conscious analytics, including Google Analytics, to understand aggregate site traffic and page performance.

The website is separate from the app's private body-tracking data and is not used to publish or expose your health records.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Bodix is not built around third-party advertising or cross-app profiling.

  • Data may be processed by Apple when you use Apple Health, iCloud, or other Apple platform services.
  • Website analytics providers may process limited web traffic data for bodix.app.
  • We may disclose information if required by law or if necessary to protect the security and integrity of the app or other people.

Data Retention

Bodix generally keeps your data until you delete it from the app, remove the app, clear local data, or disable related Apple storage and sync services.

If your data has been synchronized through iCloud or Apple Health, copies may also remain in Apple-controlled systems until removed there.

Security

We aim to rely on Apple's platform security features and the app's storage design to protect your information. No device, sync system, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are responsible for maintaining appropriate security for your device, Apple account, passcode, backups, and exported files.

Your Choices

You can:

  • choose whether to log or delete entries;
  • choose whether to import from Apple Health;
  • choose whether to enable iCloud sync on your device;
  • control permissions such as Health access in iOS settings;
  • contact us if you have privacy questions.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we may revise the effective date and publish the updated version through the website or another appropriate product surface.
